About Advanced Pavement Technology
Advanced Pavement Technology (APT) was started in 2002 to provide professional maintenance services to the brick paver and concrete industry.
For years, interlocking pavers were installed for their beauty then ignored by property owners. Like any surface, through neglect and wear the beauty of the pavers faded, weeds grew in joints, stains seeped in, and the beauty of the surface was lost. APT knew that professional techniques and attention to detail could restore some of the beauty of existing pavers, preserve the color of new pavers, and extend the life of all pavers.
Maintenance services – cleaning, sealing, repairs – were side jobs for most paving contractors. Starting level laborers were assigned to these tasks with little experience or training.
Chemical knowledge was rare. Harsh, often harmful, materials were used. Pavers could be damaged by the people hired to care for them – more out of ignorance than neglect.
APT continues to do research and testing on all hardscape materials to understand the proper ways to clean and maintain them. We worked with paver manufacturers and chemical companies to determine the best products and methods so we can create a solution for your most difficult projects.
